Welcome to Lisburn City Centre Management

Lisburn City Centre Management (formerly Lisburn Development) is a private/public partnership which draws together key stakeholders to provide a universal approach to continually enhancing and regenerating Lisburn. The aim of the company is to 'develop Lisburn as a premier city centre environment through the creation and co-ordination of sustainable long term economic growth'.

A Bright Future

Lisburn City now has a population of around 112,000 of whom 65,000 live in the city centre area. The population of the city has doubled since 1961 with a 40% increase in the last 25 years.

Lisburn was granted city status by Her Majesty the Queen in the Golden Jubilee year 2002.

Lisburn has every reason to be optimistic and there is a clear opportunity to build on the recent investment successes such as Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn Leisureplex/Omniplex, Lisburn Square, the Sprucefield Regional Centre extensions and the Bow Street Mall extensions.

2003 was a defining point. The city centre has enhanced and developed its competitive advantages ensuring the destination becomes the model for a contemporary compact European city centre.
