'Our mission is to develop Lisburn as a premier city centre environment through the creation & co-ordination of sustainable long term economic growth which takes account of opportunities to develop Lisburn's position within the national and international context'.

Lisburn Development Ltd was formed in 1996. In 2003 the company changed its name to Lisburn City Centre Management embracing both Lisburn's city status and accurately representing the company's purpose. The company has the following six strategic goals:

1. To diversify the city centre usage through an innovative Urban Design Concept and expand the perceived city centre area to include the Historic Quarter, Lisburn Square, new Civic Centre and Leisureplex/Omniplex areas.

2. To clearly differentiate Lisburn City Centre from other competitive locations by identifying and spotlighting our unique heritage propositions and reaffirm the city centre's role as the focal point within the city.

3. To enhance the quality of life within the city centre by way of the effective management of public safety, accessability, vandalism and anti-social behaviour.

4. To fulfil the function as a service provider and deliver 'best value' over a range of initiatives aimed at enhancing Lisburn's economic development.

5. To develop and strengthen existing partnerships and city centre related interest groups.

6. To formulate and implement an integrated marketing plan aimed at promoting Lisburn City Centre.
