Business crime can take many different forms but they all have a significant impact upon bottom line profits.

The cost to businesses in the UK Retail trade alone is estimated to be in the region of £12 billion each year.

Business crime falls into three main categories;-

  • Property Crime – Theft, (Shoplifting/Employee theft) fraud, robbery, burglary.
  • Violent Crime – Violence against shop staff, robbery, harassment.
  • Anti-Social Behaviour – Verbal abuse, intimidation, vandalism.

Lisburn City is no exception to this problem having a large developing business and retail sector that not only attracts investment and shoppers but criminals from across the province and beyond.
