Free Festive Fun in Lisburn
Call into Lisburn City Centre this Saturday 19th December between 11 am- 4 pm for a number of free and festive activities to enhance your shopping experience and get you into that festive feeling.Market Square is the first stop on the tour of activities with Chrismas Music, Carol Singers and free arts and crafts for kids who will get the chance to make their own Christmas decorations. Then trot down Bow Street on Denis the Christmas donkey, keeping an eye out for the festive street entertainers along the way.
Lisburn Square hosts Atlas Womens Centre Arts and Craft Fair with lots to see and do, with face painters on hand for the kids. Lianne Radcliffe , Assistant Head Of School for Software, Engineering and Media (SERC) will also have on display a Photo Exhibition by 1st year students studying BTEC National Diploma in Media Production in Lisburn Square on Saturday and over the Christmas period (Mon-Fri ex Christmas and New Years Day) the Photography Exhibition will be focusing on aspects of Lisburn by media students and community artwork showing what Lisburn means to kids from Youth Clubs and Primary Schools across the city.
Councillor Jenny Palmer,Chair of Council's Economic Development Committee commented ‘It’s sure to be a fun filled day out for all the family with plenty to keep the kids entertained and make a days shopping much more enjoyable. It’s great to see Lisburn City Centre Management working with community groups and the College to provide these events for the city.’
