ArrowLisburn City Centre Management appoints new Chairman

Lisburn City Centre Management announced this week that Councellor Allan Ewart has been appointed as the new Chairman. Cllr Ewart takes over from MLA Edwin Poots who has stepped down from his term as Chairman.

Mr Gary McMurry, who remains Vice Chairman said ‘I am delighted to welcome Cllr Allan Ewart as the new chairman of Lisburn City Centre Management, and the Board of Directors are looking forward to working closely with him throughout the year ahead."

Cllr Ewart said ‘I look forward to working closely with my fellow Directors and City Centre Management Team especially at this exciting time as we prepare a new City Centre Masterplan. I would like to thank Cllr Poots for his Chairmanship over the past 5 years.’

"Lisburn City Centre Management is a key organisation striving to improve our city centre; and with the development of a new Masterplan and emerging programs will continue to shape the future of our city. In these straitened economic times, we will be working harder than ever to promote the added value and attraction of our city, and ensure that people recognise Lisburn City Centre as a great place to shop, work, live and visit," Cllr Ewart added.

Edwin Poots will be maintaining his close ties with Lisburn City Centre Management as he remains on the Board of Directors.
